  • Prime Minister of Israel and Nobel Prize winner for Peace

LETTER BY THE PRIME MINISTER OF ISRAEL SHIMON PERES
    NOBEL PRIZE FOR PEACE

    Dear Mr. Campanelli,
I am writing to you with a profound sense of gratitude together with a pinch of personal pride for having an empty ashtray on my table. It has been like this since my return from Rome, and I hope it will remain this way in the future. As you know, my responsibilities call for frequent travelling abroad. Several of these trips have been very important for the destiny of the State of Israel, but for a long time none of these trips have had such a personal influence on me like the recent one to Rome. Now I breathe and sleep much more easily, and I eat with more appetite. I , my wife and all those close to me would like to express our gratitude for the assistance you have given me in this personal achievement. With gratitude and friendship,
    Sincerely,
    Shimon Peres

LETTER BY AVI GRANOT PRESS AGENT FOR THE EMBASSY OF ISRAEL IN ITALY

    Dear Lawyer,
Herein I include an article written about you on the most widely distributed newspaper of Israel “Yediot Ahronot”, today July 15th 1987. The article is written by Mrs. Bella Almog, a new admirer of yours, on two pages, with the title: “Following Peres in his visit to Campanelli”. It is about how a journalist affected by the smoking habit for over 38 years has been able to definitely quit smoking. All of this thanks to your treatment. The article also contains several nice photos, taken by the journalist Yossi Bar, as well as the letter that President Peres sent you deeply thanking you for your contribution. All I can personally say, dear Lawyer, is thank you for the joy of having given me the opportunity to tell all my friends that also I am now an ex-smoker thanks to you. My kindest regards
    Avi Granot

  • Dott. Paolo Bogiankino

  • President of the Section of the Court of Auditors

LETTER BY DOTT: PAOLO BOGIANKINO PRESIDENT OF THE SECTION OF THE COURT OF AUDITORS

Thank you Mr. Campanelli, not because you have requested this letter, but because I feel the need to express my gratitude to you. Here I am to express in writing the definite, extraordinary result of the single session I had with you in the afternoon of December 5th 1984. I immediately stopped smoking without hesitancy, without effort, without nervousness, without any negative consequence, without other’s smoke annoying me, without regrets, without any new desire for smoking, without gaining weight, and especially, without the impression of having done anything special. All this at 63 years of age, with a history of 40 years of smoking (with a single interruption in 1948 for a period of ten months) between 30 and 40 cigarettes per day. I must also thank you for your kind helpfulness, for your cordial and unarmed way of giving the possible explanations to the many questions of a curious person, and lastly, for what is felt as your affectionate trust in the positive faculties of man.

  • Dott. Gennaro Quarato

  • Honorary President of the Court of Cassation

LETTER BY MR. GENNARO QUARATO DEPUTY PRESIDENT OF THE COURT OF CASSATION

Dear Mr. Vincenzo Campanelli, After numerous attempts to quit smoking, all of which have miserably failed I had decided, back in November 27th 1991, to reject those infallible methods which I had resorted to (from acupuncture to those suggested by the many books I punctually bought as soon as they were published) and to become your patient. This is how I stopped being a smoker in the course of a single session (historically dated 27.11.1991) and in a totally painless way without even having to solicit my weak will. Having been freed from smoke dependency instantaneously and without any form of sacrifice seems to me still today something so extraordinary that I often feel the need to express to you my gratitude in some way; what stopped me from writing to you to inform you of the positive result of your therapy has been my doubt that after many years you may no longer remember me. When I called you to make an appointment for my daughter I realized that you did in fact conserve a vivid memory of me. I was pleased also because this gives me the possibility to repair for my involuntary defect and to express to you although after 10 years, my profound gratitude for having freed me from my dependency on smoke. Thanks to you I have been freed form cough, from being short of breath, and from many other inconveniencies linked to smoking. I warn you though that I expect for my daughter those same brilliant results that you had obtained for me. Sincerely,
    Dott. Quarato

  • Dott. Camillo Vittozzi

  • Specialist in Neuropsychiatry, Researcher at the Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Naples, Consultant for the Clinical Neurology ward.

LETTER TO CAMILLO VITTOZZI, SPECIALIST IN NEUROPSYCHIATRY, RESEARCHER AT THE PSYCHIATRIC CLINIC OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NAPLES, CONSULTANT AT THE CLINICAL NEUROLOGY WARD.

Dear Lawyer, It is my desire to manifest my gratitude for having freed me from my dependency on nicotine, never previously eliminated even after heroic attempts. As you may recall my dependency on cigarettes dated back twenty years and that in the last 4-5 years my daily consumption of cigarettes oscillated between 35-40 Marlboros. I am not able to give a convincing interpretation on the scientific principles of your method of cure. But I know that either by telepathic effect, by bioenergetic effect, or by a sort of operational conditioning, my desire to keep smoking was almost immediately annulled. After your treatment I no longer smoked cigarettes and had the net perception o fan expansion of my will to not smoke. I consider it very suggestive that your method is based on touchings on the head, the chest and the arms for the significant implications (the sphere of the will, of the emotions and the gestures). It is clear that the presupposition for the success of the method lies in the firm decision to stop smoking. The method, in my opinion, expands the act of will and makes it effective, but it cannot function like a magic act if there is a lack of will.
    Camillo Vittozzi

  • Prof. Fausto Zevi

  • National Lincean Academy

LETTER OF THE PROFESSOR FAUSTO ZEVI NATIONAL LINCEAN ACADEMY

    Rome, March 31, 2002
    Dear Lawyer,
As was your desire, here is a letter from me written on the official letterhead of the Lincean Academy, to tell you what a fortune it has been for me to have met you and to have enjoyed your assistance in quitting smoking. We have actually met only twice, on the 15th of July 1987 and then again a week later, because the small relapse required the repetition of your treatment; it was a very small one, because in that week I had smoked a total of only 4 cigarettes, compared to the 40 which I used to smoke on a daily basis. It was the end of July, and we had made an appointment over the phone for after the summer; but in that interval I had not really continued to smoke, but I smoked some dark tobacco cigarettes (“Toscanelli”, I don’t know if they still exist), which gave the house an odour which was far worse than cigarettes. I then caught phlebitis and was stuck in bed for several days, and in the bedroom the smell of smoke was so unbearable that I quit smoking the Toscanelli too. This is the summary. The beginning, as for many of my age, dates back to when I was in middle school, and smoked my first cigarettes in the school’s restroom, and American movies at the time proposed a crushing behavioral model. Naturally, I was told thousands of times by doctors to quit smoking, even before experiencing inconveniences, and sometimes I had even tried, but without lasting success. But in that summer of 1987 which coincide with a change in my work status, I unexpectedly met the example of a different itinerary: I met one of my cousins who had always been a heavy smoker, and was surprised at seeing he was no longer smoking. Someone told me he had met with a “lawyer” who had also healed King Hussein of Jordan and many other illustrious personalities from the smoking habit. The idea that to quit smoking one had to go to a lawyer and not to a doctor seemed so funny that a few evenings later I felt like talking about it among some friends. At that point I was even more surprised because the lawyer was not unknown, because a colleague and ex-smoker, of whom I had appreciated the strong will, had he himself gone through the lawyer’s treatment. Two in a few days: this was sufficient for making me curious enough, and so I asked for your address (at that time you lived in Via dell’Arte, in EUR), and I got an appointment for that July morning which I describe at the beginning of the letter. What is certain is that I left your office without that uncontrollable frenzy for a cigarette, and with the conviction of being able to choose if to smoke or not; and I chose not to. My question is: who made this choice? I still don’t know if it is you or I who made the choice, or both together. I have been asking myself this for quite some time, but I stopped when I understood that if I ever intuitively sensed the solution, I would start smoking again…..After all, I had come to you to quit smoking, and the miracle had happened, why ask for more? The result? Fifteen (up to now) years of non smoking, with thousands of small inconveniencies as an ex- smoker, but certainly less important than serious difficulties avoided. Fifteen years of passive smoking avoided to my children, then very young, to my wife, to my colleagues,…..Dear lawyer, I owe you so much for the effectiveness of your stupefying treatment. Therefore I wrote this letter as a testimonial of your successes, but most of all, because there are still many people who need your help. Again, my compliments with gratitude
    Sincerely yours,
    Fausto Zevi

LETTER OF THE VICE QUESTOR A. EDGARDO GOBBI DIRECTOR OF ANTIMAFIA INVESTIGATIONS

    Dear Lawyer,
Your intervention has allowed me to finally reach a life-style which is free from smoking. The sensation of “feeling good” even without the aid of the cigarette, has again come to mind and actually, knowing that I am no longer a slave to the notorious pack of cigarettes has increate my self-esteem and made me more aware of my true potentials. My clothes no longer smell bad from the smoke, and neither do my hands. My house is free from that odor which is typical of the presence of a smoker. Well, your powers have enabled me, a smoker from over 15 years, to finally live a life of freedom from dependencies. For all this I thank you.
